OUR STORY

A Closer Look at Our Highland Cattle Journey

Highland cattle are known for their distinctive coats, recognizable appearance, and place in farms and herds around the world. Choosing the right animal takes more than appreciating its looks; buyers should also understand its background, individual characteristics, and care requirements.

At NJM Fluffy Cattle Co., we encourage prospective buyers to ask questions, explore their options, and make informed decisions about the cattle they are considering. Whether you're an experienced cattle owner or just beginning to explore Highland cattle, we're happy to help you learn more about available animals.

I was born and raised on a farm and so was my wife. We all have a love for animals, and we've taught our kids the same. I've always loved cattle because my late grandfather, aka "Shorty," would always take me out to check cows and fence, feed hay, chop the pasture in the ol' 4020, and bale hay. I've just always enjoyed being around them. Then my daughter wanted these fluffy, cute hairy Highlands, and the more I researched, the more I was on board to get just two. After finding out how docile and easy they are, and how raising them costs about half as much as commercial cattle, it was a no-brainer for me. I can make money on these and have fun while doing it. I'm in! And 2 turned into 75! We do registered and unregistered stock.
